Calculation & method
How this service calculates and displays the Three Pillars, seasonal boundaries, Nijuhachigen, Ten Major Stars, Twelve Subordinate Stars, Tenchusatsu, and Daiun.
Core calculations
- Calculate the Year, Month, and Day Pillars from the birth date
- Determine Nijuhachigen from the seasonal boundary
- Calculate the five Ten Major Star positions from the Day Stem
- Calculate the three Twelve Subordinate Stars from the Day Stem and Year/Month/Day Branches
- Calculate Tenchusatsu from the 60-cycle group of the Day Pillar
- Determine forward or reverse Daiun from the Year Stem’s yin/yang and the traditional sex category
- Calculate the Daiun start age from days to the seasonal boundary, then generate the cycle pillars
Seasonal boundaries and Nijuhachigen
The Year and Month Pillars switch at the exact seasonal-boundary time. Nijuhachigen is determined from calendar-day distance from the previous boundary under the adopted method.
Daiun starting age
Depending on forward or reverse direction, days to the relevant seasonal boundary are converted at three days per year, with fractions rounded up under the adopted method.
Text generation
The service combines position, life area, age stage, and current Daiun rather than assigning one fixed sentence to one Star. Deterministic selection prevents meaningless wording changes for the same chart.
Calculation verification
The HTML implementation was cross-checked against a separate Python verification engine. Across 145,368 noon cases covering every date from 1901 through 2099 for both sex categories, plus focused boundary tests, the implementations matched for the Three Pillars, Nijuhachigen, Ten Major Stars, Twelve Subordinate Stars, Tenchusatsu, and Daiun. This verifies implementation consistency, not scientific validity of the divination interpretation.
About the wording shown
Technical terms remain as calculation evidence, while the main reading translates them into everyday language about judgment, work, relationships, money, and life-stage flow.
How the interpretation text is constructed
The text combines position, Star relationships, decision speed, and interpersonal style instead of replacing each Major Star with one fixed paragraph.
The reading does not assume a specific lifestyle
The reading does not assume a specific occupation, family structure, or lifestyle.
